New CD is almost completed in other news. All that's left is to find one more track. It's looking like it's going to sound very chilled out, something I'm excited about putting together!
I'm back from Europe, and I'm starting to put together my next demo. This is going to be disc 2 of a 2 part series created by a peer of mine. It's a great honour to be invited, and I look foward to releasing it.
There will be download access setup for it, once it's created.
I'm also itching to get a top x out there again :)
It's good to be home!
Keeping with the MFA T-shirt theme, I got their next t-shirt. It also rules :)
The track MFA - Motherload (which I've got on CDR Promo) is an awesome track, up there in the top 10 of the year. It's going to be a hard, and exciting year to call IMO.
Anyhow enough crapping, here's the shirt:-

Got some stellar tracks over the last few weeks. So much/many I think I can make a top 7; the lazy man's top 10.

April was a bit of a Deep month for progressive, May appears to be popping out the Melodic stuff. Great to see. The Trance is still being played, just REALLY slowly baught.
PS Is a DJ the new-aged musician?
Whilst down in Melbourne the weekend just gone by, I did a bit of shopping.
I heard Armin van Buuren's Universal Religion CD in one shop, and Global Underground 22 CD 2 in another.
Maybe I should go shopping more in Syd to hear such music, or man ++ to Mlb :)
Here's another 5 doing it for me. Doing my best to keep up a list of hot tracks once a week, not doing too bad.
Jay Tripwire & Grant Dell - Cosmic Kebab EP
Gill Norris - Forme
Halogen vs Nash T - On a Bridge Pt 1
Rapid Eye - Santa Cruz
Marscruiser - One Night in Bangkok
^^^ A nice mix of trance and chilled progressive (mostly vocal, but not cheesy)
When the dex come back I'm planning on a few demos
1)Progressive House - Melodic Progressive
2)Melodic Progressive - Uplifting Trance
3)Uplifting Trance - Tech Trance
4)Deep House/Progressive - Progressive House - Melodic Progressive - Techno
Is currently playing on TV. That's so funny how commerical it's got. It was new in about October last year. Go Ferry being able to appeal to both markets!
A pity the TV station down here has him called "Ferry Corstens". lol.
Somethings (his name ;) ) is sacred.
Flash Brothers - Deep Love EP
G pal remix is where it's at. Progressive house @ it's finest, with a G pal melody making it trancey as all hell. Sit out on the deck chairs and wait for the vocals to hit you.
Noel Sanger - Carry On (sultan remix)
A bit darker and houser the I thought. A cute little 5 key melody played through the track, with a little voice popping in every few phrases. Quite a few dark sounds in this. Really sets the mood for a dark setting. Have been placing it in the middle of sets to start the mood again.
Subsky - Albino
a blipy bloppy track, with a panning bassline. builds and builds and builds, to a bit of a weird breakdown, building on the blips, which is where you realise the blips are the beauty
Ben Camp - Syndrome
A scary release on Silver Planet. A bit of a tribal touch about it, with hawks crying in the background, which morphs into delayed/filtered/echoed vocals. Dark as fcuk
Super 8 - Alba
This is the uplifting trance I like. Hands in the air, emotional and pumping
Paul Oakenfold - Zoo York (Leama & Moor Mix)
Has been described as Oakies best work to date. The Leama and Moor remix puts the nail back into this old school Oakie track.
Echomen - Spirit
Standard echomen; Highest quality prog house track. Fresh sounds, at a nice speed. Very head fcuky "spirit"
Jamie Stevens - The Night Before
From Infusion. The dirty Infusion Basslines, with a melody that sounds like it's come from a triangle you'd use in primary school. Sounds a lot better then I can describe it
Rouzbeh Delavari - Inner Structure (petter remix)
Really relaxing prog house, summer stuff, with spanish guitars(a side) the petter mix, brings things up the extra level adding a heap more excitement and energy that makes the break down that bit bigger.

Ashtrax - Helsinki (Sander K Remix)
Sasha - Cloud Cuckoo (Luke Chable Remix)
Dreas Presents Havannah - Havannah (Original Mix)
A nice summery trance track. Uplifting with a nice rolling kick. It doesn't break down for ages, but has a nice lead over the whole track
Wink - Fill me With Acid
The title says everything about it. It's Acid and it's great
Matthew Dekay - Higher Thoughts (Original Mix)
A track being cained by Sasha, Digweed, Steve Porter, all the big guys. A prog house track, as per all Dekay tracks (I'm aware of); nice highs nice bass lines, but a break down that makes the track. It's about 3 mins long, funky and dirty, with a massive drop and euphoric kick back into it
Indigo Child - Underwater
This track has it all, a deep house, progressive, trance and techno sounds. It's dark and scary, light and melodic, pounding and relaxing, catchy and cruisy. Something you'd expect to see signed to Silver Planet

After a massive weekend with I felt a few things I'd never felt before; something I HAD to write about somewhere.
Normally after or on a big night I just don't hear or see things the way others do. Last night listening to tracks in a quite place with two mates spinning and me on the floor I was seeing and hearing things. It was just an incrediable experience just like being on MDA. I'd close my eyes and I was in the club from the previous night, or Halcyon, or in the clouds, a plane, I thought it I was there, it was real in sound and space. And when I opened my eyes the table was not just wobbling but dancing with the tracks. An amazing experience and thankyou for listening to my detour ;)
I've bought A LOT of cd's in the last week....
Gatecrasher Resident Transmissions 2
